India plans to set up fund to support domestic chip manufacturing industry
India is currently planning to launch a special fund for the semiconductor industry worth over 1 trillion rupees (approximately $10.8 billion), which will be used in the form of subsidies to support local chip design, equipment procurement, and supply chain development, further solidifying its strategic goal of becoming a global manufacturing hub.

 

Italy focuses on building cross-regional data hub
Recently, Italy's three major telecom operators-Telecom Italia, Fastweb, and Vodafone-reached a preliminary agreement on 5G network sharing, planning to build 15,500 new signal base stations by the end of 2028, with a focus on covering towns with populations under 35,000, aiming to address weak signal coverage in remote areas. At present, Italy is leveraging its strategic location at the center of the Mediterranean to build itself into a key data hub connecting Europe, Africa, and the transatlantic region.
